ENGINEERING - CASE STUDY 01 |
| MAGNA
- AWARD WINNING AND BREATHTAKING SPACE |
Magna is a £35m futuristic
visitor attraction comprising four pavillions set within
the former Templeborough steelworks, Rotherham. The attraction
opened in April 2001 and, using a mix of interactive exhibits
and spectacular displays, explores the essential elements
that make up the world - Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
TGB had a large part to play in this project. We completed
an extensive Civil Engineering package for Magna, which
consisted of concrete retaining walls, slabs and suspended
slabs. The Civil Engineering and general building works
prepared the foundry for the bespoke attractions - not
to mention floor slabs and foundations for the specific
attractions themselves. |
