| Broom Business Park involved
the design and construction of 61,766 square feet of industrial
units and offices at Chesterfield Trading Estate, Sheepbridge.
The requirements were clear: High quality, flexible business
space in an accessible semi-rural environment.
We designed the units to be flexible, so mezzanine
floors could be installed if required, enabling occupiers
to use the premises as warehousing, production space
and offices - or even a combination of all three.
To construct the site, over 7,000m³ of earth was
disposed of, with over 22,000m³ of earth cut and
filled on site. Even though the site was problematic,
due to a steep slope that needed levelling, it was completed
on time, and on budget.
We worked closely with the developer to produce a complete
design in-house in less than 4 weeks. We also acted
as Planning Supervisor, Designer and Principal Contractor
under CDM regulations.
The developer was so impressed he actually moved his
business into one of the units. |
